Along the way
Stops worth making
Ask the driver and these fit into the journey. Detours beyond the direct route are charged at the per-kilometre rate.
Chittorgarh
The largest fort in India, about 110 km short of Udaipur and only a few kilometres off the highway. Allow two hours; the fort is driven around, not walked.
Bhilwara
A textile town, roughly two-thirds of the way. A practical halt rather than a sight.
Nathdwara
The Shrinathji temple, a detour north of Udaipur. Add about an hour and a half if you want it.
What else can be charged
Charges that apply on this route
| Charge | Applies when | What it is |
|---|---|---|
| Driver night allowance | Any driving between 9:00 pm and 6:00 am | Paid to the driver when the journey runs through the night. Charged once per night, not per hour. |
| Minimum daily running (outstation) | Outstation trips of more than one day | On a multi-day outstation trip each day is billed at the minimum distance even if you travel less. A three-day trip covering 400 km is billed at the minimum for three days. |
| Tolls, parking and state tax | Any route with toll plazas, paid parking or a state border | Billed at exactly what is paid, with receipts. We publish an estimate on every route page so the number is not a surprise — nobody else in this market does. |
| Dead mileage | All outstation trips | Outstation distance is counted from our garage and back to it, not from your door. It is how every operator in this market bills; most simply do not say so. We state it up front and show it as a line on your quote. |
| Cancellation | Any confirmed booking | The full terms live on the cancellation policy page once approved. |

Jaipur to Udaipur: questions people ask
- How long is the Jaipur to Udaipur drive?
Six and a half hours for 395 km. Add two hours if you are stopping at Chittorgarh, which makes it a full day — leave Jaipur by 7:00 am if you want to see the fort properly and still arrive in daylight.
- Can we stop at Chittorgarh fort on the way to Udaipur?
Yes, it is barely off the route and it is the best reason to drive this leg rather than fly it. The detour kilometres are charged at your vehicle's per-km rate; there is no separate stop charge.
- Does an overnight halt in Udaipur add a night allowance?
No. The allowance is for driving between 9:00 pm and 6:00 am, not for the driver staying overnight. If you arrive at 4:00 pm and the car is parked all evening, there is no allowance. Driver accommodation is our cost, not yours.
- How much minimum daily running is charged on a Jaipur to Udaipur trip?
250 km per day. On a one-way drop that is below the actual 395 km, so you simply pay for 395. On a three-day return trip covering 850 km, you are billed for 850 rather than the 750 minimum — whichever is higher is what you pay.
